Instructional Faculty Positions in Civil & Environmental Engineering - Colorado Mesa University

In cooperation with Colorado Mesa University (CMU), the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for instructional faculty positions to begin Spring semester, 2018, or thereafter. The ideal candidate with have relavent industrial and teaching experience in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering He or she will be expected to teach curriculum in traditional areas of accredited undergraduate BS degree programs in civil and environmental engineering.

We anticipate that up to three full time Instructors may be hired at the entry level. However, applicants with more extensive teaching experience, comensurate with a senior instructor, may also be considered. This position is part of a cooperative hiring program at the University of Colorado to support the new joint civil engineering BS degree at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado beginning in the Fall semester of 2018. The candidate will serve in a full-time instructional capacity at the CMU campus in Grand Junction, Colorado during the academic year, with a possibility for summer instruction at the Boulder campus.

A PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required, and professional engineering registration (or the qualifications and intent to attain registration in the foreseeable future) is desired, but not required. Applicants for the Instructor position at the University of Colorado CMU Program should provide a statement describing their interests in undergraduate teaching highlighting their lab experience and field training.
