Postdoctoral Fellow in Protein Biophysics

Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has an immediate opening for a full-time postdoctoral fellow position in in the laboratory of Dr. John Carpenter for recent Ph.D. graduates with training and expertise in physics, chemistry, engineering and/or biophysics. The University of Colorado provides an outstanding research environment and we are seeking highly motivated and independent postdoctoral fellows. The research projects involve collaborating with a leading instrument company to develop and test state-of-the art new instruments for characterization of protein biophysical properties, and protein aggregates and particles. The research provides opportunities to have major, positive impacts on human medicine by contributing to development of new analytical instruments and methods for therapeutic protein products.


Minimum qualifications:

A Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, biophysics, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates with excellent writing skills, as evidenced by multiple peer-reviewed publications, are preferred. Curiosity and a passion for physical and biomedical science; and an ability and desire to work independently, but also be part of a cooperative, productive team are highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits:
