The Department of Radiology/Division of Interventional Radiology is seeking applicants for a full-time Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner position, in the Cardiac and Vascular Center under the supervision of the Division Chief of Interventional Radiology. Job Responsibilities: Clinical duties involve the provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical service support for Interventional Radiology, including both procedural and clinical activities. The individual will be trained by the IR physicians in image guided minor procedures including central venous access, thoracenteses, paracenteses, and chest tube placement. The job will also include clinical duties in both the inpatient and outpatient setting including pre-operative H&P, informed consent, patient preparation for procedures, family and patient education, admission and discharge from the hospital, and coordination of longitudinal care of IR patients.


Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Prepared Adult or Family NP or meets the qualifications for a PA - Graduation from an NCCPA-approved PA program and the ability to obtain a current Colorado State PA License. Prescriptive authority is required.

Desired Qualifications:

Candidates with experience in cardiovascular medicine, oncology, or surgical specialties with an ability to work independently are desirable.
