The MAVEN mission is dedicated to investigate the upper atmosphere and the ionosphere at Mars but the mission is also making measurements all the way out to the solar wind and dust observations.

The candidate will be working closely together with Dr. Andersson. The planetary and space physics groups at LASP have extensive interests in solar wind, magnetospheric research, ionosphere/atmosphere research, and basic plasma physics processes and there will be many opportunities to collaborate with all researchers at LASP. Especially future interest in analyzing data from missions carrying our electric fields instrument. The work environment will be using MAVEN IDL software routines. The work will include improve existing software routines for data production, process the instrument data and operate the instrument. The position will initially be a one-year contract with possible extension.
