Research Assoc - Physics Theory

Job description

We announce the opening of a Center for Theoretical Quantum Matter (CTQM) postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado Boulder. These postdoctoral fellowship positions are classified as "Research Associates" at the University of Colorado Boulder which are typically known as "postdoctoral fellowships" at other institutions. This position will be affiliated with the condensed matter theory (CMT) group in the Department of Physics and the CTQM (see for details). We would greatly appreciate your bringing this opportunity to the attention of any strong candidates. The successful candidate will carry out research in collaboration with the faculty of the CMT group, that includes Victor Gurarie, Michael Hermele, Rahul Nandkishore and Leo Radzihovsky, and will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with faculty in related areas through the CTQM. We encourage applications from candidates with interest in any area of CMT, from field theory of strongly interacting systems to non-equilibrium quantum dynamics to soft matter. The positions are expected to begin Fall 2018 (although this is flexible). Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2017.
