Research Instructor - Biostatistics

Biostatistics consultation to support the academic efforts of the Radiology faculty and development of new projects in biostatistics research.

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Study design
  • Teaching (both formal and informal) radiology residents/faculty
  • Power and sample size analysis
  • Statistical analysis planning and implementation
  • RedCap data base set-up
  • Assisting with obtaining data from electronic medical records
  • Assisting with IRB submissions
  • Development of new research projects
  • Building collaborations with other faculty and students
  • Grant writing/review
  • May supervise one or more students


Minimum Requirements:
  • Masters or PhD degree in biostatistics or a related field
  • Training in statistical computing and consulting
  • Training in multilevel and longitudinal data analysis, categorical data analysis, diagnostic accuracy analysis including ROC studies, survival analysis, and study design
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Desired qualifications:
  • Ability to use Knitr R package or SAS proc report or SPSS
  • Experience managing a statistical consulting service is a plus
  • Experience co-authoring abstracts, publications and grants
