Asst Professor

The Department of Anesthesiology at University of Colorado and Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) announces an opening for a Child Clinical Psychologist position within the Pain Management Service at CHCO. CHCO serves the psychological and medical needs of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with family-centered care, innovative research, and teaching programs.

We are seeking a pediatric psychologist with a passion for working as an integrated member of an interdisciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, nurse specialists, social workers, physical and occupational therapists in delivering care for children, adolescents, and young adults with acute, recurrent and chronic pain. Responsibilities will include delivering evidence-based behavioral treatment for pain on an outpatient and inpatient basis as well as performing assessments in multidisciplinary clinic settings in our expanding Chronic Pain Service. Experience with pediatric/ adolescent populations, prior experience working with multidisciplinary teams, and skill with family-focused, evidence-based interventions is required.

The primary duties for the position are clinical care and working with teams to provide integrated, evidence-based treatments.


Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed or license eligible candidates who have completed a doctorate in clinical psychology (APA or CPA accredited) and, ideally, a one to two year postdoctoral fellowship (preferably specializing in pediatric pain) are encouraged to apply
