Degree and Area of Specialization:
MD, MD/PhD or DO - Board eligible or certified in Neurology.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Candidates for associate professor (CHS) or full professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.
Academic credentials and experience for appointment at the selected rank of a non-tenure School of Medicine and Public Health track focusing primarily on clinical and teaching excellence. Appointment at the rank of associate or full professor rank requires meeting criteria for appointment level as defined in School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to associate professor or professor on the Clinical Health Sciences track.
License or certificate:
Licensed or eligible for Wisconsin medical license. Board eligible or certified in Neurology.
Provide general neurology clinical service, teaching and research at UW Hospital and Clinics, VA Hospital and other locations. Provide general neurology outpatient and inpatient services. Develop of extramurally funded clinical research program with patient-based activities. Participate in department teaching and community education programs by teaching medical students, residents, fellows, undergraduates, graduate students, other physicians and the public.
