Interventional Radiology Faculty Member- Highlands Ranch Hospital

Job Summary
The University of Colorado Department of Radiology is recruiting a faculty member for the Division of Interventional Radiology, in the Community-based Clinical Practice service line. Primary clinical duties will be centered at the Highlands Ranch Hospital, a new UCHealth facility scheduled to open in 2019. The successful candidate must be fellowship-trained in IR and able to provide general radiology services (except breast imaging).

Highlands Ranch Hospital (HRH), part of the University of Colorado Health System, is a 77-bed, Level III trauma facility in one of the fastest growing suburbs of the Denver metropolitan area. The hospital will have a birth center, Level III NICU, ICU, operating rooms, advanced cardiac services, cancer center with advanced oncology services and comprehensive imaging capabilities. This is a terrific opportunity to join a highly progressive department and institution dedicated to providing exceptional, cutting-edge clinical care to patients on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountain and surrounding states.

The successful candidate will join the IR Division of seven Interventional Radiologists and four advanced practice providers, who together perform nearly 9000 procedures per year at the University of Colorado Hospital. This person will be the anchor physician at Highlands Ranch hospital. While the IR practice at HRH builds up, the Interventional Radiologist will also provide diagnostic services.

There is the possibility of the successful candidate serving in the role of Medical Director for the Department of Radiology at HRH. Administrative and operational oversight responsibilities would include development of new and existing radiology programs and services, policy, procedures, professional education activities, marketing, and quality assurance.

This physician will perform diagnostic and therapeutic Interventional procedures on a daily basis and should also be able to read diagnostic radiology exams.


Minimum Qualifications

Medical Degree or equivalent, Colorado Medical License, ABR Certification, Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training, CAQ eligible

Required Competencies

Competency is required in the performance of diagnostic arteriography, vascular intervention, oncologic intervention including intra-arterial and percutaneous therapies, biliary, genitourinary, and GI intervention. Ability to read diagnostic radiology exams.
