Ph.D. in Economics, specializing in: Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics, International Economics, Public Economics, Labor Economics, Economic Development, and/or Industrial Organization.

Candidates for this tenured position must possess academic credentials which consist of but not limited to demonstrated high quality research with publications in top tier journals as well as demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching.

Position Summary:

The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenured position specializing in macroeconomics and monetary economics, international economics, public economics, labor economics, economic development, and/or industrial organization. An integral part of the position will be conducting research in the Center for Research on the Wisconsin Economy.

Additional Information:

The Center for Research on the Wisconsin Economy (CROWE) produces and disseminates economic policy research, with a particular focus on the Wisconsin economy and state-level economic policy issues. A main goal of the Center is to support research to better understand the economic outcomes and the impacts of policies at the state-level, and provide a bridge which will make this economic research accessible to policymakers, businesses, and community groups in Wisconsin and around the nation. The Center will also host regular conferences and workshops on statewide economic policy issues, including both academic researchers and the broader policy community.

This position will work with the members of CROWE to undertake economic research on issues affecting the state economy, produce in-depth analyses and timely policy briefs drawing on that research, and pursue independent research on issues related to the goals of the Center.
