Degree and Area of Specialization:
Candidates must have earned a doctorate degree in civil engineering or a closely related field by the beginning of employment. A degree in construction engineering and management or civil engineering with emphasis in construction engineering and management is preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Post-doctoral experience, professional experience, and a professional engineering license are desirable, but not required.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is searching for a faculty member with expertise in Construction Engineering and Management to complement the faculty in Civil and Environmental Engineering (https://www.engr.wisc.edu/department/civil-environmental-engineering/). Areas of interest include (but are not limited to) construction engineering and construction management, virtual design, construction and building fabrication, lean construction and integrated project delivery, advanced technologies in construction, risk management and sustainable construction. This is a full-time tenure-track or tenured position and is open at the Assistant Professor and Associate Professor rank. The Construction Engineering and Management program is strongly supported by several generous endowments, including the Boldt Company and M.A. Mortenson Professorships. The successful candidate will be supported by one of several endowed Professorship or Fellowship opportunities.
