Degree and Area of Specialization:
Terminal degree required;
MD in Ophthalmology, American Board of Ophthalmology certified or Board eligible is required.
PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology or Physiology is require.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Residency training in U.S. Ophthalmology accredited program is requried.
Fellowship trained physician in uveitis/medical or surgical retina is required.
Minimum 4 years research experience in Cellular and Molecular Biology or Physiology is required.
License or certificate:
Wisconsin Medical License.
UW Health Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences seeks qualified candidates (MD in Ophthalmology, American Board of Ophthalmology certified or Board eligible and PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology) in uveitis/medical/surgical retina for a primarily research faculty position at University of Wisconsin Hospital and UW Health. Candidates must be eligible for a Wisconsin medical license. Primary duties include clinical patient care and clinical teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. Opportunities for research are available for interested candidates.
