Job Summary:

The Veterinary Technician Supervisor position will provide supervision of 12 Veterinary Technicians at over 30 locations across the UW-Madison campus working in the Research Animal Resources and Compliance (RARC) program of veterinary care. The Veterinary Technician Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring work is performed efficiently and thoroughly. The incumbent will evaluate the needs of each school or college's research animal program and adjust the workload and tasks of each technician as necessary to ensure the highest quality of animal care. Travel among facilities across campus is required daily.

Additionally, this position will function at the level of a Veterinary Technician 3.


Certification as Wisconsin Veterinary Technician or Eligibility to Obtain

Schedule Comment:

Regularly scheduled hours to include weekend work. Holiday hours required.

This position will be filled at 80-100% time.
