Job Summary:

This position provides program support assistance to the Finance/Business Services and Permits Administration Unit of UW Transportation Services. This position is responsible for a significant segment of this operation including: reconciling over $10 million in annual revenue from payroll deduction payments, process billing for over $3 million in annual UW Hospital and Children's Hospital parking revenue, campus-wide parking meter coin revenue counting, daily online permit sales and fulfillment, permit administration functions, and providing backup support to the financial reconciliation/reporting and cash management positions. This position requires the ability to analyze financial transactions, recognize anomalies and error patterns, and make policy and procedure recommendations to management and IT staff.

This position, under general supervision, is responsible for providing the highest level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to independently recognize errors, to assure sound financial records for the Department using generally accepted accounting principles. This position functions closely with other Department staff, working as a team, and providing consistent, high-quality application and interpretation of Transportation Business policies and financial procedures. Work is performed under the supervision of the Financial Specialist Supervisor and Business Services Manager. This position requires knowledge of complex transportation policies and procedures, and T2Flex & SkiData parking software to assure accurate information is entered and inventoried products and services are correctly fulfilled to Customers. Revenue is received from transportation related items such as: annual parking permits, employee bus passes, and bike locker rentals.
