Job Summary/Basic Function:
The College of Music invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2018. Duties will include: teaching jazz piano lessons and classes in jazz piano; teaching improvisation; assisting with the coordination of the small group program; maintaining a national profile as a jazz piano performer; recruiting and retaining highly qualified students; serving on divisional/college/university committees; and other duties as assigned by the Division and/or College. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Master's degree in music or related field required; documented experience and accomplishments as jazz pianist; documented effectiveness in teaching jazz piano and improvisation.
Doctoral degree in music desirable.
