Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Art Education and Art History in the College of Visual Arts and Design at The University of North Texas (UNT) seeks a scholar to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate art history courses in areas that complement existing programs and faculty areas. Courses include Art History Survey, History of Photography, Modernism, Postmodernism, and Theories of Contemporary Art. Course load is 4/4. Teaching at the Denton and downtown Dallas campuses is required.

The art history program consists of seven tenured/tenure-track faculty members and two lecturers who work with approximately 70 undergraduate art history majors and 10 Master's degree students. Art history faculty also teach roughly 1,500 students from across the university each semester. In addition to its undergraduate and graduate degrees, the program also offers post-baccalaureate certification in art museum education.
