The University Information Technology Center is called upon to provide computing and electronic communications resources when it can do so more effectively or more efficiently than separate units.

Job Description
The Administrative IT Services Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Cross Functional IT Support Manager to join our team.

The Cross Functional IT Support Manager works as a member of the Administrative Information Technology Services (AITS) Team assisting with the management of a sub-group within AITS that provides support to multiple administrative departments, buildings and VP areas across the Denton Campus.

This Systems Administration position is heavily operational in the areas of provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of server hardware, desktop and laptop hardware, services, software and related infrastructure. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Implementing, securing, managing and maintaining complete resource/server systems for divisions and/or departments.
* Process automation, monitoring and service reporting using Powershell, Jenkins, Jamf, System Center Configuration Manager, Zabbix and other related system tools.
* Serving as a senior technical resource for subordinate team members.
* Work documentation is managed in ITIL processes using the ServiceNow IT Management System.
* Current, direct experience building Windows Servers, Windows Desktops and Mac OSX/iOS systems, as well as advanced scripting and reporting using the tools listed.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department.
* Considerable knowledge of principles of computing and/or communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environments.
* Ability to supervise and train subordinates.
* Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware.
* Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information.
