Department Overview
The Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment, and Redesign (CLEAR) supports the University's goals of providing the best undergraduate educational experience in Texas and providing a superior graduate education by working closely with faculty to maximize their teaching effectiveness regardless of mode of instructional delivery. We assist faculty in the design and delivery of courses as well as the measurement of learning at the class, department, and college level. We serve as the liaison for various administrative and technical support functions, thereby saving faculty's time, talent, and creative energies for their students. We provide leadership in the development of polices and the exploration of innovative tools and techniques that promote teaching excellence.
CLEAR supports the UNT teaching community through workshops, seminars, conferences, individual consultations, and the resources available on the CLEAR website with emphasis on aligning theory and practice for the roles required of university instructors in lecture halls, seminar rooms, virtual classrooms and labs across all disciplines.

Job Description
The Learning Enhancement, Assessment & Redesign Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Senior Media Technical Manager to join our team.

Duties include (but are not limited to) primary responsibility for the

* UNT videoconference network operations, scheduling rooms,
* Staffing for UNT videoconferencing, training and evaluation, tracking projects related to maintenance
* Upgrade of video conference rooms, renewal of warranties/licenses for videoconferencing equipment and services supported by CLEAR.
* Maintenance of website information, master calendar and related publications, generation of reports related to videoconferencing, and assigned projects and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years of audio, video, or interactive media production experience; prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Extensive knowledge of principles of audio, video, and interactive media production.
* Ability to manage the work of others.
* Considerable knowledge of audio and video recording techniques.
* Ability to interpret instrument and meter readings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematic drawings, etc.
* Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in equipment or software.
* Some positions may require knowledge of copyright law and its applications to A/V materials.
* Experience supervising, training and managing employees.
* Understanding of proper equipment maintenance practices.
* Experience prioritizing various technical needs.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
Bachelors degree in related field and four years of audio, video or interactive media production experience.

* Extensive knowledge of videoconference technology and applications.
* Ability to manage large number of concurrent projects & events.
* Strong customer service skills as representative of UNT to internal and external audiences.
* Ability to solve unique problems.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
