The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Missouri is a dynamic and expanding practice with patient care responsibilities at the University Hospital and Clinics, University Woman's Health and Children's Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital, and Harry S Truman VA Hospital. The Division is seeking outstanding candidates for a faculty position in Thoracic Surgery.
The successful candidate should be recognized in his/her area of clinical practice in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Completion of a fellowship is required. Candidates should be US Board Certified or US Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery and have exceptional interests in teaching and research. The qualified candidate should be proficient with all aspects of thoracic diseases including malignancies of the esophagus and lung. The ability to work in close collaboration with related medical specialties and surgical oncologic specialties is essential. There is the expectation of assisting the institution with developing a well-recognized esophageal and lung malignancy program.
