Full/Part Time Full-Time
This position will be under the direction of Dr. Kevin Bradley, state Extension weed scientist. The person filling this position would be responsible for assisting with the direction and focus of all research and educational programs related to weed management in the primary agronomic crops in Missouri. Specific responsibilities would include, but are not limited to: 1) assisting in the development and delivery of educational materials and programs throughout Missouri; 2) disseminating weed management information by publishing in refereed journal articles, newsletter articles, and online through websites and social media; 3) assisting in writing grant proposals as needed; 4) and designing and conducting appropriate research to address the primary weed management problems identified. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment with other staff, graduate students, and faculty in the weed science program and Division of Plant Sciences.
The successful candidate should have a PhD in an appropriate plant-related discipline, excellent communication skills, and some experience working with agricultural producers. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
