Tenure-track position in the Department of Exercise Science and Physical Education, with expertise in Sports Conditioning. The candidate will teach courses in Fitness Activities, Anaerobic Exercise Leadership, and Theoretical Foundations of Sports Conditioning, among other areas, in the undergraduate and graduate Exercise Science programs and possibly courses for students in Athletic Training and Physical Education. It is preferred that the candidate have research interests related to these areas. The successful candidate will be expected to be an active scholar, develop a significant body of refereed publications, advise students, engage in curriculum development, and participate in department, college, and university committees.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required: Earned doctorate in Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Motor Learning, or related field; a well-defined research agenda; Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification (NSCA) and/or USA Weightlifting coaching certification; and evidence of scholarly activities.
Preferred: Demonstration of the potential to secure external funds and evidence of the ability to integrate computer technology into instruction are highly desirable.
