The John J. Cali School of Music is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to create and teach music education courses with emphasis on technology at the graduate and undergraduate levels, while also developing and supporting new strategies for music technology programs and curricula for all music majors. This position will be responsible for supporting the increasing use of music technologies in teaching fields and in the classroom within the John J. Cali School of Music. Other secondary areas of specialization may include instrumental music (brass, woodwinds, strings, or percussion), choral/vocal music, and music composition.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal applicant should be conversant with technological issues as they involve majors in performance, music education, music therapy, composition, and jazz. Doctorate in music education, music technology, or relevant field with a minimum of two years K-12 teaching experience and K-12 curriculum design, or equivalent professional experience. Higher education experience preferred.
Candidates must show potential for strong leadership in the technology and education communities, commitment to research as well as teaching and supervision.
