Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Directs and coordinates the signage programs for the University of South Carolina system wide including accountability for state procurement, assisting with signage design, ensuring compliance with USC and ADA standards, installation, and the issuance of Certificate of Occupancy.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master's degree or a bachelor's degree and 2 years related program experience.

Drivers License required.

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies for new construction, renovations and signage. Familiar with project management and signage software. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excell, Corel, Photoshop, AutoCad and Famis. Project manager terminology. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion for standard signage and what is appropriate for our facilities. Ability to establish and maintain a good and effective working relationship with Architects, Contractors, Project Managers, Faculty, Staff and Vendors. Ability to interpret and apply ADA Laws, regulations and policies and procedures. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Superior customer service skills required. Occasional travel is required to branch campuses to provide signage services.
