Advertised Job Summary
Provides research support for “Peers Promoting Exercise Adoption and Maintenance Among Cancer Survivors.” Primarily assisting the intervention coordinator and research assistant with daily and weekly tasks associated with participant recruitment and intervention delivery.
Provides assistance with reviewing participant and coach telephone calls to ensure participant safety; assist with coach training sessions; data entry, sending feedback reports to study participants and programming text/e-mail messages to be sent for the Reach Plus Message group.
Provides assistance with telephone eligibility screens; making follow-up calls with participants; entering audit data into the study database; sending medical authorization forms to participant's physicians, assist with participant recruitment.
Assists with recruitment and training; other related research duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Master's degree in a related field and 1 year related research experience, or bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years related research experience; or high school diploma and 7 years related research experience.Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred in psychology, exercise science, public health, counseling, social work, or nursing. Prior experience working with cancer patients. Research experience with physical activity promotion is essential.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experience with recruitment and collection of data from research participants. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft office programs. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to inspire, lead and work effectively with diverse groups. Ability to work and contribute as a team member, plan, coordinate and implement diverse administrative functions, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and communicate effectively.
