Advertised Job Summary
Directs the workflow of interdepartmental financial activity. Implement proper university accounting procedures and resources that includes use of data warehouse, general ledger, on-demand reporting, and university accounting services intranet in the disbursement, collection, and accounting of funds. Perform journal entries, IIT's, transfers, mandatory transfers, and budget transfers.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 6 years professional accounting experience.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting, auditing, banking, budgeting, financial management. Knowledge of state government fiscal accounting processes.

The ability to analyze parking and transportation expenses to assist in determining University rates. Develops and directs VMPS budgetary process. Approve departmental expenditures.
