Advertised Job Summary
The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the general area of Plant Molecular Biology.
Areas of research interest include, but are not limited to biotic interactions, abiotic interactions, epigenetics, gene regulation, signaling, and cell and developmental biology. This individual might utilize a variety of approaches including high-throughput (e.g., genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics), computation and/or modeling to develop an integrated understanding of plant processes at the molecular, cellular and organismal levels.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop an extramurally funded research program and teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, in courses appropriate to their expertise.Required Education and Experience
Minimum qualifications include a PhD in plant sciences; evidence of established scholarship including a strong record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals; and the potential for excellent teaching.Preferred Qualifications
Post-doctoral experience is preferred.
