Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Job Duties Include:

Provide administrative support to the program director and staff. Maintain a record of referrals made and disposition of those referrals. Communicate with child care programs and other stakeholders regarding SCIC programs and initiatives. Parent referral: interact with parents/guardians of children with disabilities in order to assist with their search for child care.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications

2 Year minimum experience with database management, data entry, reporting preferred, Peoplesoft and university systems for processing travel.


Working knowledge of community and human services resources, experience or familiarity with addressing early childhood care and education issues is recommended. Highly effective and demonstrated interpersonal skills, maintain highest level of confidentiality, advanced customer service skills. Independent judgment in prioritizing multiple high priorities and utilizing internal resources. Willingness to attend professional development trainings to increase knowledge related to SCIC Scope of Work. Successful applicants will have excellent written and oral communication skills, computer skills that include Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), web-based software applications.
