Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Performs semi-skilled finish and rough carpentry work in the construction, maintenance, renovation and repair of buildings interior, exterior, structure, equipment, etc. Carpentry and repair work includes such items as demoing classroom and office interiors, relocating walls, installing door frames, doors and hardware. Removing and re-installing commercial ceiling systems, repairing and/or replacing flooring, installing new and used casework, building and installing new mill work. Perform basic commercial renovation projects from architectural drawings.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

High school diploma and 3 years experience in carpentry. Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Must maintain considerable knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in building maintenance and construction. Must maintain knowledge and skill of the techniques and methods used in the carpentry trade. Must have knowledge for proper use of equipment and tools of the carpentry industry.
