Responsible for mowing operations and landscaping and grounds maintenance operations in the provision of quality services to University grounds areas.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
High school diploma and 1 year related experience. Driver's License required.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be familiar with greenhouse operations, grounds maintenance, horticulture/floriculture practices, green roof garden design and maintenance, and plant propagation techniques. Employee must demonstrate organizational skills, planning and scheduling skills and problem solving. Employee must have the ability to manage multiple duties concurrently. Employee must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Employee must be able to make fact based decisions and build positive customer relationships. Employee must use initiative and be proactive in discharging duties. Employee must project a positive image which encourages high morale and team spirit and promotes confidence, usefulness and purpose.
