Assistant Professor of Sociology - Tenure Track

To facilitate this highly interactive faculty/student relationship, the typical teaching load is three 4 credit-hour courses per semester and student advising is supported by professional staff. Evidence of successful teaching, or a strong potential for successful teaching, is required for all positions. Undergraduate faculty share in the delivery of the general education program, most often by teaching within the university's interdisciplinary core.
Graphic Design: Visiting Assistant Professor

The Aurora University Dunham School of Business and Public Policy invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication with academic and/or professional background in Graphic Design or related field. Successful candidates will be able to teach undergraduate courses in several areas of Graphic Design scholarship and professional practice. These would include the areas of Visual Communication, Graphic Design Theory and the use of professional software. Experience with Adobe Creative Could is required. This position is housed in the Department of Communication but will work closely with the Department of Art.
Successful teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable. Experience in both the professional practice and teaching of graphic design, web design, and visual communication is highly preferred. An MFA (Graphic Design) or related terminal degree is required. The position will also entail the teaching of interdisciplinary courses for Aurora University’s General Education program.
