The University of Kentucky Department of Theatre and Dance seeks applications for a Visiting Lecturer in the area of Lighting and Sound Design beginning August 2018. Our undergraduate program is National Associate of Schools of Theatre (NAST) accredited with a robust production season of five mainstage productions including a musical and annual dance concert, as well as an active student produced studio season.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include teaching lighting design, sound design, creativity and the art of design and production, as well as other courses in theatre design and technology curriculum, as needed. Additional responsibilities will include: designing lights and/or sound for department productions, mentoring student designers and technicians when appropriate, and serving as Master Electrician and supervise sound set-up when designing. In addition, this position will supervise student workers in the areas of lighting and sound, and the purchase and maintenance of department lighting and sound equipment.
