Research Associate Senior

The College of Public Health at the University of Kentucky is currently seeking a Research Associate Senior to contribute to the management of the day-to-day operations of the National Health Security Preparedness Index (Index) project, including assuring project protocols are being followed; developing presentations and seminars; initiating written informational materials and articles; and developing and posting materials for the Index website.

This position will participate in the executive management team and contribute to the planning and management of project funded activities and staff, and coordination of research activities.

He/She will coordinate communications with the Index stakeholders, RWJF and communication contractors; work with RWJF and Index leadership to implement the communications plan, and develop communications related to Index products; participate in development of materials for the website, including limited analyses of Index data as needed; organize and staff virtual meetings and in-person conferences, and other communications involving key stakeholders; and work closely with management team to ensure communications are executed for all stakeholders and staff on research activities, conferences, and meetings.

This position will work with Deputy Director to prepare proposals, budgets, narrative reports, and requests for budget modification and extensions submitted to funders for the Index, and work with the project operations team, including the Deputy Director and RWJF communication contractors, to implement the operational plan and establish monthly priorities for action.

Physical Requirements

Microsoft Office, including Excel and Powerpoint; web-based survey design software; bibliographic software; website maintenance; virtual meeting platform; statistical analysis.

Preferred Education/Experience

Program management experience. Department prefers a Master's degree, or higher, with equivalent number of years of experience.
