Chemistry and Biochemistry


This is a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of biochemistry, broadly defined. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally supported research program and to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses. Applicants should have a PhD and postdoctoral training in a relevant field. Specific responsibilities will be assigned at the time of hire.


Qualifications successful candidates for an Assistant Professor rank will possess at a minimum: (a) Doctoral and postdoctoral training in a relevant field; (b) Clear trajectory of accomplishments in their field; (c) Experience in mentoring undergraduates, graduate students, or postdoctoral fellows.


Preference will be given to candidates specializing in cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) such as cryo-correlative light and electron microscopy or cryo-EM of membrane proteins.
