The successful applicant will be expected to: (1) develop/maintain a nationally and internationally recognized, independent, focused, and extramurally funded research program and (2) contribute to the Department’s teaching and service efforts at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the candidate’s area of expertise. Additionally, the applicant is expected to recruit and mentor graduate students.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in nutrition-related fields, including, but not limited to: Biochemistry, Physiology, and Cell and Molecular Biology. Associate Professor applicants should have an established externally funded research program with a mechanistic disease based focus that will complement the Department’s ongoing research activity. Areas of interest include basic and clinical research in human disease prevention and treatment, including diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, obesity and gastrointestinal health.

Anticipated Salary Range
Anticipated salary is $96,000
