Biomedical Sciences – College of Medicine
The laboratory is focused on studying the molecular-genetic basis of complex behaviors, using Drosophila melanogaster as a model. We use a range of approaches, including genomic-scale studies, neural circuit-based studies, molecular-genetic perturbations and behavioral analyses to understand how complex behavior arises. Position available in an NIH-funded laboratory for a Research Manager/Technician. Responsibilities will include managing long-term experiments, data management, and analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (BS, BA, MS, or PhD) in an appropriate field and at least one year of experience working in a research setting.
Experience with molecular biology, Drosophila, confocal microscopy, computer programming, managing employees, or bioinformatics is desirable.
Anticipated Salary Range
Starting position and salary will be dependent on previous experience and qualifications.
This is an OPS/temporary Job.
Soft Money Funded Position
This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.
