The Department of Mathematics at Florida State University is now accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in applied and computational mathematics, starting in August 2018, with an emphasis on modeling and simulation. Exceptionally qualified candidates in other areas of applied and computational mathematics may also be considered.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in mathematics or a closely related field, a strong research record, potential to obtain external funding, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring at graduate and undergraduate levels. It is also desirable that candidates have postdoctoral experience in an application area that complements departmental strengths, significant computational experience, and the ability to develop collaborations both within and outside the university.
