Sponsored Research Administrations & College of Human Sciences
This position serves as the Sponsored Research Administration (SRA) Grants Officer for pre- and post-award activities for the College of Human Sciences. The SRA Grants Officer is responsible for coordination of sponsored research activities from public and/or private sources for the College of Human Sciences. Such activities associated with this position include, but are not limited to: proposal preparation, review, submission and tracking; negotiating basic agreements, contracts and awards with external sponsors; project programmatic and financial close-out; preparing official communications; other basic level special projects as assigned; reconciling project budgets; and processing budget amendments and project advances.
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note; post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.) Experience with attention to detail, meeting project deadlines, and working independently. Ability to comprehend and interpret state, federal, and sponsoring agencies rules, regulations, policies, and laws regarding Sponsored Research. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent software. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment and to interact with people at all levels diplomatically, tactfully, and professionally.
Knowledge of or experience in contracting and contract negotiations (e.g., FAR clauses, federal contracting, SBIRs and STTRs).

Soft Money Funded Position
This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.
