The Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at Florida State University invites recent PhDs with a specialization in any aspect of the literatures, cultures, or linguistics of the Lusophone-speaking world to apply for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Portuguese beginning Fall 2018. Candidates with additional expertise in Hispanic linguistics, literatures or cultures are especially encouraged to apply.
The selected candidate is expected to engage in original research, to teach two courses per semester, and to actively support the Portuguese language curriculum and programming outreach.


Eligibility is restricted to applicants who have received the PhD between 2015 and May 2018, are not currently post-doctoral fellows, and will not hold concurrent employment at another institution.
