We are currently seeking a Compensation Analyst Senior who will advance the institution's proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

The Opportunity

You: Part detective and part analyst, you enjoy gathering information from a variety of sources and organizing it to reveal patterns and trends that can support decision making.

Your mission: You'll be in charge of maintaining the college compensation system, ensuring consistent application of classification standards for job classes.

A typical day: One day, you may launch an ad hoc survey that you designed to obtain and analyze market pay rates, then update several job descriptions, followed by addressing employee requests for classification review. The next day, you'll be evaluating new positions by investigating and analyzing position duties and responsibilities to determine appropriate classification and salary levels.

    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or related field required.

    Three (3) years of HR experience and at least one (1) year in the areas of Compensation and HRIS required.

    Proficient use of PeopleSoft, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and Access Database Applications

    Knowledge of federal and state wage and salary laws and regulations; survey methodology

    Ability to conduct research, analyze information and data and present findings in a concise format

    Ability to analyze and interpret policies, practices and procedures

    Knowledge of Job Analysis techniques and some exposure to automated job evaluation systems

    Require attention to detail and good written and verbal communications skills

    Ability to work with diverse populations, both internally and externally

    Knowledge of customer service principles
