IHP Associate Director, M.S. Genetic Counseling Program (FACULTY)

The Department of Genetic Counseling in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston is seeking a full time Associate Program Director to start July 1, 2018.

In collaboration with other program leaders, the Associate Director is responsible for the planning, development, and monitoring of those aspects of the curriculum, fieldwork, and research experience that support students' integration of knowledge, skills, experience, and professional ethics into the practice of genetic counseling. Roles include teaching, serving as a Capstone research advisor, and working with the Program Director on program development, accreditation, student recruitment, and the admissions process. The successful applicant will also be expected to take part in scholarly activities and participate in professional activities at a regional or national level.


Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in genetic counseling program leadership, teaching, supervising students in fieldwork, and research. The candidate must have a Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited program, be ABGC Board-certified and licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (or eligible for MA licensure), and have at least 3 years of experience as a genetic counselor. Faculty academic rank is commensurate with experience.
