The Department of Counseling and Educational Development (CED) in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) seeks applicants for a Clinical Assistant/ Clinical Associate Professor position beginning August 2018, in a nationally ranked program that is fully accredited by CACREP. We are particularly interested in a colleague whose clinical background and interests position them to provide visionary leadership in the Vacc Counseling and Consulting Clinic. The position requires a PhD in Counselor Education, counselor licensure in North Carolina, and training in and successful experience providing clinical supervision. The successful candidate will teach one course per semester at the graduate level and devise visionary strategies for the Vacc Clinic to expand its reach and influence in the community according to the University standard for excellent service and growth. The Clinic Director will assume responsibility for budgeting and resourcing of the Clinic, planning and overseeing all client care, and administrative operations and programs. Qualified candidates will be responsible for supervising and directing employees, budgets, technology and operations. The person hired must possess excellent management and mentoring skills, be an outstanding communicator able to resolve conflicts and issues and have a deep respect for policies and ethics and can inspire that in others, the ultimate goal being optimal functioning of the Vacc Clinic. The Clinic Director will mentor graduate students in clinical training who are from diverse racial, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds, and provide department, school, and university service. Responsibilities include assigning cases and creating schedules for GA's and counselors in training, coordinating and supervising staff, providing staff with clinical training and opportunities for continuous development, evaluating performance and addressing personnel issues, and monitoring compliance to legal and ethical issues, internal policies and quality standards.
