Position Summary

The Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina Greensboro invites applications for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology position beginning August 2018. We seek a sociological criminologist who can teach a variety of courses in the department's criminology concentrations. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Sociology or Criminology. Candidates for whom the Ph.D. has not been conferred as of 08/01/2018 will be considered for a Lecturer position, which has additional teaching appointments and a different salary. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarly activity, service, and mentoring both undergraduate and graduate criminology students.
