Job description

The Account Analyst of the Cox Family Enterprise Center (CFEC) is considered a strategic accounting/operations partner for both the Director and Executive Director, to who s/he also reports. The Account Analyst is a hands-on, participative leader focused on managing the following areas of the CFEC: budget and finance, consultant and client contracting, vendor negotiations, reporting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

The Account Analyst interacts with multiple categories of stakeholders, namely:

  • Family business clients: CEO, Presidents, Board Chairmen, and members of high net worth families
  • Service Providers: Presidents, Partners, and Directors of publicly traded and privately held corporations, consulting and advising firms, financial institutions, business associations, and governmental organizations
  • Internal KSU stakeholders: VPs, Deans, Department Chairs, Executive Directors/Directors, Faculty and Administrative Staff

The Account Analyst of the CFEC will provide critical accounting and reporting advice and counsel various internal KSU stakeholders including:

  • The Director of the CFEC
  • The Executive Director of the CFEC
  • Business Manager for Coles College of Business
  • Faculty and administrative staff
  • Directors of development and foundation officials
  • KSU Legal Affairs
  • Office of Fsical Services
  • Various other administrative offices that are heeded to complete specific initiatives

Minimum Hourly Rate: $14.35

Required Qualifications: 2 years college course work and 3 years experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2 year degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent degree
  • 4 Years relevant work experience

  • Results oriented with an attention to detail and sensitivity surrounding family businesses and their owners

  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, Online Collaboration Programs, QuickBooks, and CRM Databases
  • Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, as well as forecast and prepare financial reports

  • Strong ability to work well under pressure and prioritize several projects at one time
  • Thorough understanding of all components of a diversified funding base
  • Interest, enthusiasm, and affinity for working with people with varying backgrounds
  • Thorough understanding of working with university administrators, deans, faculty and business community
  • High energy, positive, "can do" attitude, flexibility, teamwork
