Position Summary:
College of Education. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Initial Educator Preparation and Assessment, the Field Experiences and Clinical Practice Coordinator collaborates in all areas of field experiences and clinical practice to assure that teacher candidates have the opportunity to experience diverse teaching and learning environments.

Essential Functions

  • Works collaboratively with the Field Experiences and Clinical Practice Director, department chairs, program directors, faculty, and P-12 educators and schools.
  • Coordinates field and clinical placements of candidates and interns.
  • Provides support to program faculty in implementing intervention procedures to support candidates and interns.
  • Provides edTPA support and oversight.
  • Works collaborative with program faculty to provide training for clinical supervisors.
  • Oversees the candidate and intern application processes.

    Master’s Degree

    Five or more years of related work experience

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

    Preferred Education:

    Preferred Experience::
    Five or more years of P-12 teaching and/or administration experience; experience mentoring new teachers and/or teacher candidates or interns; familiarity with the edTPA assessment or a similar tool as well as data collection and submission processes; experience with technology tools that support and enable remote classroom observation and candidate/intern feedback; prior experience supervising professional staff and student employees.

    Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
