Advertised Job Summary: Participates as a key member of the Dean's Executive team, and serves as the primary business advisor to the Dean. Promotes a unified view of the college's interests and aligns work with goals of the college. Plans, organizes, directs and manages the business operations for the College. Directs, coordinates and implements the practices needed to manage all College funds in accordance with the policies of the College, University and State of South Carolina. Serves as the Assistant Dean for Finance by interpreting policies related to approval of fiscal transactions pertaining to personnel, payroll, procurement, expenditure requests, budget formulation and management, to ensure compliance with USC, state and federal regulations. Communicates effectively College financial information on a timely basis to Dean and other personnel where appropriate. Works collaboratively with College Deans, Department Chairs and Program Directors. Develops and maintains professional relationships with university officials and personnel (Budget office, Provost's office, etc.). Performs financial activities in accordance with standard financial principles, processes, and accuracy. Assigns appropriate workloads to financial personnel (Grants Manager, Administrative Coordinator, etc.). Develops and maintains productive working relationships with employees.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree in related field; minimum of five years financial-related experience.
