Lane Community College is seekingan innovative and participatory Division Dean to oversee the Math Division. The selected candidate will fulfill the functions of division leadership and administration in a manner that promotes quality of student learning, fiscal sustainability and equity for all staff in alignment with the college's core mission, vision and strategic directions.
This position will lead, facilitate, and participate in instructional activities, working in cooperation with faculty and staff to plan and supervise the development of course schedules, curriculum, teaching assignments, facilities, and mentoring of new and part-time faculty members.
The Dean is primarily responsible for promoting and fostering collegiality between departments and initiating and/or supporting change, creativity, and innovation processes. This includes efforts to support the growth and retention of a diverse student population and faculty/staff.
Education: Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related math-based field from a regionally accredited institution.
Master's degree in Educational Administration with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related math-based field from a regionally accredited institution.
Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time post-secondary or secondary teaching or training experience in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related math-based field.
Two (2) years of administrative experience and/or academic/grant program coordination.
Salary Range $61,050 - $98,550 Annually
