The Associate Manager, HRM Operations, leverages strong analytical and sound decision making skills in managing the day-to-day operations and various processes of the HR Operations function. This position oversees the maintenance of employee data (faculty, staff, student employees, and temporary employees) in the HR Systems and provides leadership, guidance and direction to the HR Operations team to ensure accurate, efficient and timely processing of HR-related transactions. Responsible for data integrity and creates various reports and audits (with HRIS) to monitor all transactions and assure accuracy in reporting for all areas relying on HR data. Promptly resolves any issues related to transactions or data. The incumbent participates in projects related to the HRM system and leads user acceptance testing. This role requires building and maintaining relationships with key constituents across the university.


Bachelor’s degree with 4 - 6 years of experience, preferably experience in HR Operations in a higher education environment and in managing a staff. Working knowledge of HR transaction processing and demonstrated experience in achieving process improvements, including utilizing technology to streamline processes. Exceptional management skills and a demonstrated ability to deploy resources appropriately to meet day-to-day deliverables and work load; management oversight of staff, including coaching, delegation and accountability. A proactive, customer-service orientation and able to work in a face-paced, high volume environment. Demonstrates solid judgment in decision making and in regular communications with the appropriate management. Strong analytical skills and strong computer skills (Excel). In depth knowledge of HR & Payroll systems, experience with Banner HR, a plus.
