POSITION: The Department of Nursing is recruiting for Tenure-track (probationary or tenured) faculty positions, available at all ranks at the Eau Claire campus. The department seeks two dynamic candidates with expertise in one or more of the following nursing specialties: certified Family Nurse Practitioner (priority); certified Adult- Gerontology Primary Care, Gerontology or Adult Nurse Practitioner; research; health policy; and medical-surgical nursing, who are committed to teaching excellence and to maintaining an active program of scholarship involving undergraduates. This appointment carries an initial two-year probationary appointment. Start date is August 2018, though position will remain open until filled.


  • Earned doctorate in the area of nursing or related field by start of contract. (ABD applicants may be considered but must complete the terminal degree by August 2018).
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of successful university teaching, knowledge and skills in educational technology, formal and informal assessment practices, classroom management), demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, and appropriate practice experience.

DUTIES: Teach courses in the Department of Nursing based on program needs and in accordance with specialization; participate in research and scholarly activities (develop and/or maintain a program of research/scholarship); provide academic advising to students as assigned; engage in service to the department, university and profession.

DEPARTMENT: The Department of Nursing offers BSN, BSN completion, MSN, and DNP programs of study.
