Vice President for College Advancement
St. Norbert College is one of higher education’s success stories. A Catholic liberal arts college located in De Pere, Wisconsin, SNC has thrived in recent years as a result of careful planning, the collaborative efforts of its entire institutional community, the generosity of its philanthropic investors and the compelling nature of its mission and values. Now, under the leadership of its newly-inaugurated President, St. Norbert College seeks a Vice President for College Advancement to take its alumni relations and development program to even greater levels of productivity.
During the past decade, St. Norbert College has invested $150 million in new facilities and now boasts an exceptionally attractive state-of-the-art campus. Having met its most significant physical plant needs, the College must now turn to enhancing the endowment with a focused investment in the student experience and to ensure a robust future. Its efforts in this regard have gained significant momentum through a recent commitment of $30 million for unrestricted endowment from a prominent SNC family. This gift will also provide a jump-start for a major campaign now in the planning stage, and the new Vice President will therefore have the opportunity to put a personal stamp on a campaign with a significant head start. The Vice President will also enjoy the support of an active, engaged and generous board of trustees and an exceptionally cohesive and collaborative senior management team, and passionate faculty and staff.
To succeed in the role, the Vice President will be an experienced advancement professional with a successful track record as a major and/or principal gift fund raiser. The successful candidate will also demonstrate success as a leader and manager of people, projects and budgets at an institution of equal or greater complexity. Leadership experience in a comprehensive campaign is required, as are superior communication and relationship-building skills. Equally important, the Vice President will resonate with St. Norbert’s Catholic, Norbertine and liberal arts mission and values.
