Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
This position requires the candidate to teach 4-6 courses (12-18 credit hours) per semester. Reduced course load available with departmental service activities. Course load will include Floral Design. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate program and is expected to assist with advising a student organization.
Educational Requirements for the Position
An earned doctorate or master’s degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, or other closely related fields.
Experience Required for the Position
Desired areas of interest include landscape horticulture and floral design. Excellent communication skills are required. Applicant must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Green industry work and/or college teaching experiences are preferred. Full-time position, nine-month initial appointment with possibility of extension and potential for summer employment.
